It relates to community and property rights indicating dignity, control, empowerment, and sustainability apart from income generation. To make a livelihood in society, it is important to have certain skills based on which a person earns.
Livelihood skills refer to capabilities, resources, and opportunities that are helpful for pursuing individual and household economic goals. In other words, it basically means income generation. Livelihood skills include technical and vocational abilities (carpentry, sewing, computer programing, etc.); skills for seeking jobs, such as interviewing strategies; and business management, entrepreneurial, and money management skills.
